C Bone Band

Born and raised in Sunderland, UK, C Bone is a blues guitarist based in Newquay, Cornwall. Throughout his early career, he worked extensively as a street musician across the UK, France, and Spain, while also performing with lifelong friends in the bands, C Bone & Dr Funk Trio and The Big Sets.
His performances and original music gained international attention online, with videos shared by major Facebook platforms such as UniLad Sound, Music Life, and Music Crowns, helping him build a global following for his distinctive guitar style and modern approach to the blues.
C Bone spent over a decade performing with the five-piece band The Big Sets. In 2017 they won an International Blues Competition at Jazz & Blues Festival, Rendezvous de l’Erdre in Nantes, France, leading to a series of shows across the country the following year.
Known for their high-energy, funk-infused blues, the band regularly headlined stages, filled clubs, and brought large crowds to dance to their thrilling approach to the blues.
Afterward, C Bone travelled throughout Spain and France, supporting himself through street performance while playing alongside top musicians in Jazz and Blues clubs in cities including Granada, Madrid, Barcelona, Biarritz, and Paris. These experiences further shaped his musical style and ambition to perform at the highest level.
In late 2022 he finished tracking his debut original album, North Sea Breeze, with a band of top SW session musicians, and later signed with Another Planet Music. Released in July 2023, the album received strong radio support and media coverage, including a feature in Blues in Britainmagazine’s “High Hopes” section.
North Sea Breeze reached #16 on the IBBA Most Played Album Chart and #8 on the Roots Music Report UK Contemporary Blues Chart, while the single “I Was Young” reached #6 on the UK Top 50 Song Chart. The album received positive reviews from Blues in Britain, Blues Matters, and Rock n Reel, as well as international coverage including a review from the Crossroads Blues Society in Illinois, USA.
C Bone was then nominated in the Top 20 Traditional Blues Artists category at the 2024 UK Blues Awards and continues to gain recognition on the blues scene.
C Bone then formed the hard-hitting Blues, Soul & Rock’n’Roll band, C Bone Band, in January 2024.
They performed many gigs throughout the year including the main stage at Upton Blues Festival in July, Boardmasters Festival in their hometown, followed by their first international festival appearance at Cerdanyola Blues Festival near Barcelona, Spain, in October. “C Bone, a valuable asset for summer festivals.” (Bad Music Radio BCN).
In December 2024 they then recorded their first live album, Live at Project 83.
Nominated again in the Top 20 Emerging Blues Artists category at the 2025 UK Blues Awards, C Bone continues to build momentum. With an “exceptional debut album that deserves widespread recognition” (U.S. Blues Foundation), he is steadily establishing himself on the international blues circuit.
At the end of 2025, C Bone Band “Cornwalls Best Kept Secret” (BiB) performed their first show at Tenby Blues Festival to a Sold Out crowd at De Valence Pavillions.
C Bone Band then performed the “Concert Of The Year” (BMR), at their second international festival, Blues ‘n’ Boogie, Hospitalet, Barcelona.
In 2026 they are supporting UK Blues Challenge winners The Cinelli Brothers on their UK Tour.
Keep your eyes peeled for C Bone’s second studio album, which has now been recorded and awaiting release.
Whether performing solo or with his band, C Bone delivers a rich musical journey spanning genres such as Jazz, Blues, Swing, Soul, with Latin-Americana influences. You will hear classics from the 1920s through to his own original material.
